Airport Leave-Time Calculator | TSA Tracker

Your trip, with time to spare

When should I leave?

Choose your airport, add your flight, and make a plan for every part of the journey.

  1. 1 Your airport
  2. 2 Your flight
  3. 3 Your plan
01 Where are you flying from?

Use the terminal on your airline booking. You can plan with an allowance if you do not know it yet.

02 When is your flight?

Enter the local time printed on your ticket.

03 Give each step enough time

All values are minutes. Adjust for your route and your airline’s check-in and boarding deadlines.

Your security allowance is planning time, not a measured wait. A higher current reading may increase it for a flight departing soon.

Know what goes into your plan

The line is only one part of the trip.

A wait is an observation

Official readings describe a particular checkpoint and lane at the time they were captured. They cannot predict the line for a future flight. This tool keeps your chosen security allowance and only increases it when a fresh reading is higher and your flight leaves within four hours.

Make room for the rest

Travel time is your estimate, without live traffic. Add time for parking, a shuttle or rental-car return, bag drop, and the walk to your gate. The gate buffer is how early you want to be at the gate before the flight departs. Check your airline’s exact deadlines, especially for checked bags and international travel.

Check again before leaving

If a reading is missing or old, your plan uses the security allowance you chose. That allowance is not a live or historical estimate. Confirm your terminal, checkpoint hours, and lane eligibility with your airport or airline before you travel. Leave extra time for assistance, document checks, or unfamiliar airports.
